Stock up on your summer reading this Wednesday night at the Chicago Reader Book Swap, where you’re invited to bring books you don’t want, take books you do, and not worry about the leftovers (they’ll all go to Open Books). The books and entertainment–two dance sets by the go-go troupe the Janes–are free; and drinks can be had for as little as $2 (PBR, Schlitz, and Maker’s Mark).

Everything takes place at the Cobra Lounge (253 N. Ashland) from 6 to 9 PM. No RSVPs are necessary but you must be 21 or older to attend. The first 300 to turn up get a free Reader tote bag.

Donations of old eyeglasses are also being accepted for the Volunteer Optometric Services for Humanity.
