Tonight from 6:30 to 8 PM Luxe a Salon and Spa (2109 W. Belmont) offers a lesson in how to use scarves as a summery accessory for all hair lengths. Cocktails will be served, guests will receive a complimentary scarf, and there’ll be a raffle for an Hermes version. $10 in advance, $12 at the door. On Friday Funky Couture and the Lincoln Park Young Professionals host a fashion show featuring Spanish brand Custo Barcelona at the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum (2430 N. Cannon). Tickets, which run $40 to $55, include cocktails, tastings from restaurants including Angelina’s and Sapori Trattoria, and limo transportation to the afterparty at Crescendo. The show runs from 6 to 10 PM and the afterparty from 10 PM till 4 AM.
Over the weekend Cerato Boutique (3451 N. Southport) holds a trunk show for Juxtapose Jewelry. Meet designer Jen Cook and browse one-of-a-kind pieces ranging in price from $30 to $200. It’s from 10 AM to 6 PM on Saturday and 11 AM to 2 PM on Sunday.
Erin Gallagher holds a summer sale on her jewelry this weekend with discounts of 30 to 70 percent. Her boutique at 1013 W. Webster is open from 11 AM to 5 PM on Saturday and noon to 5 PM on Sunday.
