Last Friday the city finally released a full schedule of events for this year’s Fashion Focus, October 18-24. It’s slightly thinner than last year’s offerings, but the week is still full of things to do and see. Four runway shows in Millennium Park include “Chicago Fashion Incubator Designers Past & Present” on Tuesday the 19th; the culmination of the “Mario, Make Me a Model” competition on Wednesday the 20th; the student show “Dress Code” on Thursday the 20th; and the Art of Fashion, presented by StyleChicago.com, on Friday the 21st. Other events include shows by designers Borris Powell and Horacio Nieto, an exhibition of fashion photos by Chicago photographers; and of course many opportunities to shop.
