• Peggy Skemp’s two-finger ring inspired by a shelf mushroom

On Friday, Florodora (330 S. Dearborn) and its sister store, Florodora Shoes (348 S. Dearborn), host trunk shows for local designers. The clothing boutique will host Stephanie Kuhr of vintage-inspired lingerie line Dottie’s Delights, while jewelry designer Peggy Skemp, known for her unusual work inspired by anatomy and other biological sciences, will show her line at the shoe store. Both events take place from noon to 6 PM.

Friday night from 7 to 11 PM, fashion designer Anastasia Chatzka presents her spring line of flouncy, feminine women’s clothing at her eponymous boutique (1740 W. Division). There will be two drawings to win two handbags, and a fashion show presenting the collection, which will also be viewable online, will start at 9:30. RSVP to rsvp@anastasiachatzka.com.

This weekend, the Modern Vintage Chicago spring show takes place at the Randolph Street Market. Vintage vendors from Chicago and beyond bring curated selections of clothing, jewelry, bags, and more. In addition, on Saturday from 2 to 4 PM local wardrobe expert April Francis of the Haute Closet will be on hand to offer her styling advice to visitors. The event runs from 10 AM to 5 PM Saturday and Sunday at Beaux Arts Plumber’s Hall, 1340 W. Washington. Admission is $8 online, $10 at the door ($3/$5 for students), and every paid admission includes a shopping voucher for $5 or $10 good toward purchases at the event.
