Can Ozzie Guillen’s ego fit in a 62-foot boat?

After eight years as White Sox manager, he’s heading to the Florida Marlins—and, of course, he’s leaving in “a blaze of candor,” the New York Times says.

Ah, candor—Ozzie’s trademark. It’s great when a public figure is willing to speak his mind, but only when there’s something in it.

Ozzie to the Sun-Times last Friday: “A lot of people say, ‘Oh, love.’ They don’t know what love means. I guarantee you, if you raise a girl where I grew up and you’ve got no money and she loves you, but you put the same girl with a guy who’s got a lot of money, I’ll bet she’ll love the guy with money.”
