Cellist Lori Goldston of Seattle’s Black Cat Orchestra and Spectratone, who has also played with Nirvana, David Byrne, and Cat Power, performs her original solo score to Carl Theodor Dreyer’s 1928 silent classic The Passion of Joan of Arc, Tuesday at the Nightingale.

Jonathan Rosenbaum wrote that stage actress Renée Falconetti’s Joan of Arc is “one of the key performances in the history of movies.”
