On Saturday Philadelphia-based guitarist Jack Rose suffered a fatal heart attack; he was just 38. Though I had the pleasure of catching several of his local performances over the years, I never met Rose. But if the outpouring of online eulogies and remembrances over the weekend is anything to judge by, the folks who did know Rose had only the fondest regard for him, both as a musician and as a human.
