This week’s Omnivorous is about the day I spent in the kitchen at Moto a few weeks back. Good times. I wasn’t allowed to bring the video camera in, but I got a few glimpses at some intriguing stuff chef Homaro Cantu wouldn’t talk much about. He also mentioned that he’s been developing two TV shows for quite a while now, about “helping people figure things out,” whatever that means. No word on when we might get a look at those, but in the meantime, there are a bunch of wacky videos from the kitchen on YouTube the guys have posted themselves.
As sous chef Darryl Nemeth said, “If Alinea is the fine art, we’re the stand-up comedy.”
