Through 7/17: Rodrigo Lara Zendejas solo show at the Hyde Park Art Center (5020 S. Cornell), “La Paz,” is based on the artist’s memories of his first studio, in his grandparents’ garden in La Paz, San Luis Potosí, in central Mexico.

Fri 4/15:
The Brian Costello Show With Brian Costello at the Hideout (1354 W. Wabansia) is all about the female reproductive system. Guests include cofounders of #shoutyourabortion Amelia Bonow and Kimberly Morrison. 6:30 PM

Fri 4/15:
About Face Theatre celebrates its 20th anniversary at the Ravenswood Event Center (4025 N. Ravenswood) with the Wonka Ball, a benefit featuring food, cocktails, a raffle and silent auction, and live entertainment from Chicago’s hottest drag queens. 8 PM

Sat 4/16: Feeltrip Records is opening a one-day only Pop-Up Record Shop at Boiler Room, featuring performances by Molehill, Model Stranger, A Friend Called Fire, and a DJ set by Alex White of White Mystery. It’s just one of Chicago’s many Record Store Day events. Noon

Sat 4/16:
Take a culinary trip around Logan Square for a cause during Passport to Pilot Light. Start at Lula Cafe (2537 N. Kedzie) to pick up a passport and then travel to any of the participating bars and restaurants—like Billy Sunday, Fat Rice, and Parson’s Chicken & Fish­—to receive stamps. Fully-stamped passports are redeemable for prizes, and proceeds benefit Pilot Light’s Young Professionals Board. Noon

4/16-4/17: No better time to get inked than during Tattoos for Tails. All weekend long, Insight Studios (1062 N. Milwaukee) will be donating all walk-in tattoo and piercing profits to One Tail at a Time. Sat noon-10 PM, Sun noon-8 PM

Sun 4/17:
The Empty Bottle (1035 N. Western) hosts local artists and Chicago businesses at the Bull and Bear Market to raise awareness and funds for the Humboldt Park LGBTQ organization El Rescate. Noon
