Samantha Power resigned from the Obama campaign. It’s a pretty big deal, since she was one of his most important advisers, and from what I can glean, a knowledgeable and humane influence on his foreign policy. All in all a pretty staggering mistake, especially given that among her many qualifications she’s a journalist and should probably know better.
Salon has a good interview with her about her new book on Sergio Vieira de Mello and her role in the campaign. This could make her appearance at the Harold Washington Library next week pretty interesting.
