The Criterion Collection, long acknowledged as the gold standard in DVD releases of classic world cinema, is now offering streaming video on its web site. You can view the movie for five bucks, which is then deducted from the (hefty) purchase price if you order the disc. Currently available on the site: Peter Brook’s Lord of the Flies (1963), Federico Fellini’s Juliet of the Spirits (1965), Victor Erice’s The Spirit of the Beehive (1973), and Dusan Makavejev’s Sweet Movie (1974).
