Lyric Opera announced today that free public tickets are being released for its star-studded concert honoring Lyric president and CEO Kenneth G. Pigott, who died last month. Pigott had been a member of the Lyric board since 1998, and had been president since 2011.
The concert is scheduled for 3 PM on Friday, March 13, at the Civic Opera House (20 N. Wacker).
Tickets can be obtained online here. Reservations must be made no later than 5 PM on Thursday, March 12.
According to the announcement:
Sir Andrew Davis will conduct the Lyric Opera Orchestra and Chorus, with the following featured artists: Jamie Barton, J’nai Bridges, Gwendolyn Brown, Tracy Cantin, Anthony Clark Evans, Renée Fleming, Ferruccio Furlanetto, Sam Handley, John Irvin, Jonathan Johnson, Brandon Jovanovich, Amanda Majeski, Julie Miller, Hlengiwe Mkhwanazi, Richard Ollarsaba, Matthew Polenzani, Rodell Rosel, and Laura Wilde.
