Steve Rhodes: “My Facebook friends know that I snapped last night at all the Tribune and Sun-Times news stories (and photos) that have begun to clog my Facebook news feed”

Chicago Tribune editorial board: “All of this means only one thing: Facebook is doomed. It can’t be hip much longer. The young will flee their elders for cooler climes.”

I have not Facebook friended that many people from the local dailies (three, I think), so I have not experienced the same glut. But I do occasionally post things I write to my news feed, and I have access to the data, so I can state with some confidence: you aren’t getting that much traffic from it. And the more you post, the less traffic you’ll get. Here’s how normal distribution works.
