A video titled “A Love Story” on Mitt Romney’s campaign website shows a young Romney playing patty-cake with his little children. Ann Romney narrates, describing her husband as a loving spouse and doting father and grandfather. “If you really want to know how a person will operate, look at how they’ve lived their life,” she says. “It’s so important to understand the character of a person.” Her husband, she also says, is “a born leader, and people follow him.”

A story in yesterday’s Washington Post described a bullying attack Romney reportedly led in 1965 at Cranbrook, the elite boys prep school he attended in Michigan. Classmates of varying political affiliations, speaking on the record, detailed other instances of harassment at the school by Romney.
