- Miyori in the Sacred Forest
An 11-year-old Tokyo girl is sent to live with her grandparents on the edge of a woodland, where she befriends a group of spirits threatened by flooding for a dam project, in the 2007 animated feature Miyori in the Sacred Forest. It’s the directorial debut of Nizou Yamamoto, art director of Hiyao Miyazaki’s Princess Mononoke and Castle in the Sky.
Miyori in the Sacred Forest screens for free, Thursday 2/18 at Columbia College’s Film Row Cinema.
