In case you didn’t get enough nostalgia the first night of Pitchfork, Naked Raygun fans with tales from the 80s and 90s (and beyond—the band’s still a little bit undead well into the 00s) are invited to the Cobra Lounge this Friday, June 20, at 8 PM for a chance to be interviewed on camera. It’s sort of a warm-up party for the forthcoming Raygun documentary, not to mention a lazy way to gather talking-head footage. The band will be hanging around (though not scheduled to perform) to thank fans for their support over the years and bask in the fanboying. The press release gushes: “The response has been overwhelming thus far. We initially anticipated that it would be wall-to-wall people, but, there are people flying from all over North America just to participate. It’s a testament of how loyal Raygun fans are and the deep imprint Raygun has left on the independent music scene.”
Interested fans should RSVP to mike@nakedraygun.org.
