It’s not all grim news in local retail: when another space in the historic Monadnock Building became available, Michael Blossom, the owner of women’s clothing boutique Florodora, decided to open Florodora Shoes just a couple doors down from the original shop, at 348 S. Dearborn. He thinks the recession didn’t affect him as much as it might have in other neighborhoods, noting that there’s always street traffic during the week.
