I haven’t been a big supporter of Wyclef Jean’s apparently now official campaign to be the next president of Haiti. I know Haiti doesn’t have a history of great presidents (I’m sorry, Haiti, but it’s true), but maybe it can do better for itself than a guy who’s already gotten in big tax trouble and been accused of mishandling large amounts of money before even holding office. I’m not saying, I’m just saying.

Though being partially responsible for The Score entitles one to a number of perks, being taken seriously as the potential leader of a nation that was already pushed to its breaking point before it was demolished by a natural disaster isn’t one of them. However, having watched his first campaign commercial (available after the jump) I’ve slightly modified my opinion of Wyclef Jean as a potential member of a national government.
