The National Public Housing Museum shows off its future home tonight, along with the work of artists and photographers who documented the surrounding neighborhood before it was razed, in an event called Inside Out. Plans are to open the nation’s first museum dedicated to the public housing experience in this former Jane Addams Homes building at 1322-24 W. Taylor by 2012–or however long it takes to raise $17 million for the museum and its operating fund. Meanwhile, you can get a free peek at the digs and the art, 6-10 PM. RSVP and information at publichousingmuseum.org.
