Jeremy Wheeler illustrated this week’s B Side cover story on the creepy electronic music John Carpenter writes for his movies. This GIF Wheeler tweeted earlier today shows how he mocked up the concept and filled it in until it wound up adorning the paper. If you watch closely, you can actually see a second concept we didn’t use, too.
The lesson here is this: never take a good illustration for granted.
