This year’s Lollapalooza was a sweaty, rainy, and eventually sunny four-day extravaganza that offered something for almost everyone.
For fans nostalgic about the 90s alternative nation, Jane’s Addiction and Red Hot Chili Peppers were front and center. Looking for more pop-leaning groups? Haim, the Joy Formidable, and Yeasayer were there too.
If hip-hop firebrands light your fuse, you could choose among several of Chicago’s own—Vic Mensa, Joey Purp, Towkio, Smino—as well as out-of-towners such as Danny Brown, Future, and A$AP Ferg.
If you just wanted to dance, LCD Sounsystem, Major Lazer, and Flosstradamus could scratch that itch.
