As the 2010 Craft Brewers Conference hits Chicago April 7-10, the city’s drinking establishments celebrate artisan brewing with a week of tastings, beer dinnners, and on-tap specials. Held annually, the CBC brings brewers together to talk about the craft and the industry. And judging by the 40 percent jump in registration the conference is reporting over last year, the latter appears to be growing quite explosively.
It’s also an opportunity for brewers to show off what they’ve created. Windy City Distribution—a local outfit that distributes specialty brews from around the country—is planning a number of events highlighting rare beers from craft breweries; prices vary by bar and by brew.
