Looking for something to do today? Agenda‘s got you covered.

Put on your skankin’ shoes, because ska revival is being revived yet again at the American Skathic 20-Year Celebration. For the uninitiated, American Skathic was a compilation of midwestern ska with plenty of nostalgic value for the plaid-panted among us. This celebration tonight at the Metro features Hot Stove Jimmy, Greenhouse, the Eclectics, Heavy Manners, Skapone, the Exceptions, and DJ Chuck Wren.

You’re likely feeling fat and ornery by now. Exercise that doesn’t require a membership: Chicago WinterDance’s free dance lessons and DJ sets. The three-day event kicks off tonight at the Chicago Cultural Center where you can learn Chicago steppin’ with Dawud Shareef and Lura Satterfield, and then dance a couple hours (and calories) away with DJ Mellow Khris.

Tonight the Music Box screens eight short films from the 2013 Sundance Film Festival, including five award winners. The Date, Whiplash, K.I.T., and Irish Folk Furniture are among the entries.
