Looking for something to do today? Agenda‘s got you covered.

You probably only know Crispin Glover as George McFly. But he’s so much more than that! Crispin Glover contains multitudes! Tonight at Music Box, he will perform dramatic narrations of his books, then screen the film It is Fine. Everything is Fine!, which he codirected. The evening ends with a Q&A and clips from Glover’s new work in progress.

Music website Epitonic is celebrating its 15th birthday with a two-day quinceañera to remember the first ever Chicago Deep Freeze Festival. Festivities include a combo of comedy and music at three Wicker Park venues: Public Works Gallery (1539 N. Damen), Subterranean (2011 W. North), and Double Door (1572 N. Milwaukee). Performers include Mike Lebovitz and 2013 Reader People Issue person Kellye Howard, and music from Meat Wave, Bloodiest, Carbon Tigers, and others.

When exactly does a film begin and end? Maurice Lemaître’s 3-D film performance, Has the Film Already Started?, asks that very question. See it at the University of Chicago’s Film Studies Center, part of an ongoing series that details the interactions between the avant-garde and surrealism movements in 1950s France.
