Ians Party
  • Ian’s Party

Looking to kick-start your first weekend of 2013? Agenda‘s got you covered:

Mark Bazer returns to the Hideout with the latest edition of the Interview Show, a monthly chat session in which Bazer picks the brains of local celebrities. Scheduled to appear tonight are author Rebecca Skloot (The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks), Moto chef Homaro Cantu, and theater director Henry Wishcamper (Other Desert Cities). There will also be a performance by local rockers the Stone Chromatics.

Have you ever been told it’s Shatner’s World: We Just Live in It? Neither have I, but that’s the title of William Shatner’s autobiographical one-man show, which he performs tonight at the Paramount Theatre. Here’s hoping he takes a moment to share some choice cuts from his 1968 album The Transformed Man.

Ian’s Party, a three-day music festival featuring some of the city’s best punk bands, begins tonight. Bands scheduled to appear over the weekend include the Arrivals, the House That Gloria Vanderbilt, and Dr. Manhattan, among others. Township and Quenchers share hosting duties, ensuring plenty of cheap beer for all.
