That one got your attention. Looking for something to do today? Agenda‘s got you covered.
Comedian and Chicago native W. Kamau Bell brings his “Oh, Everything!” stand-up tour to Lincoln Hall tonight. Though his short-lived late-night show on FXX, Totally Biased, only lasted two seasons, his act promises the same strong (but hilarious) opinions that were its hallmark.
Texas-born, Louisiana-inspired musician Cedric Watson plays Mayne Stage tonight with special guest Bijou Creole. Watson mixes bluegrass and Caribbean sounds with traditional Creole music, creating a sound unlike anything else. He also plays the accordion and the fiddle.
A very unique story gets an equally unique setting in Profiles Theatre’s production of Cock, playing at Main Stage on Broadway. Mike Bartlett’s 2009 play about a man torn between the love of his boyfriend and that of his girlfriend (it’s complicated) is presented on a stage that was built to look like a real cockfight arena.
