Looking for something to do today? Agenda’s got you covered:

It’s Trade, School Food, and Food Policy Day at the Good Food Fest, a local and organic foods extravaganza that features panels on things like CSAs and farming. Check it out at the UIC Forum. Admission prices vary.

The 80s and 90s may be long gone, but contemporary culture’s thirst for nostalgia is as strong as ever. Enter Hair Lit, Vol. 1, a collection of short fiction dedicated to and inspired by the likes of Poison, Twisted Sister, and Warrant, edited by Nick Ostdick and released by Chicago-based Orange Alert Press. Contributors Matt Rowan, Lindsay Hunter, and Mike Joyce present their pieces at a live reading at Quimby’s.

Terri Kapsalis, chair of the Visual and Critical Studies program at the School of the Art Institute and founding member of Theater Oobleck, and filmmaker Artemis Willis present “Performing the Night Sky: Heavenly Bodies, Microcosms and the Moving Image,” a video projection performance that “evokes a poetic encounter with the infinite” at the University of Chicago Film Studies Center. A screening of Jack Arnold’s The Incredible Shrinking Man (1957) follows the performance.
