Looking for something to do today? Agenda’s got you covered:

In an age when print media is becoming as scarce as a Cubs postseason, it’s important to spotlight those who remain committed to the dead-tree form. Level-Up Magazine, a local independent hip-hop music and fashion publication, is celebrating the release of its sixth issue at the Chicago Art Department. The festivities include a fashion show, as well as performances by rising MCs Kembe X and Alex Wiley.

The art gallery Johalla Projects hosts the opening reception of Luminous Flux, a new exhibition featuring photographs by Todd Diederich, a frequent Reader contributor.

At the Book Cellar, Chelsea Prince presents her latest book Rock and Vine: Next Generation Changemakers in America’s Wine Country, which features photography from Mary Steinbacher of the New York Times. Select wineries featured in the book, including Meiomi, Rock and Vine, and Parallel, are on hand for a $10 tasting.
