Steve Mosqueda and Sean Benjamin’s celebration of literature’s convergence with booze, Drinking & Writing, presents The 12 Steps of Christmas, which “explores the addictive, destructive holiday called Christmas.” The show, at Half Acre Tap Room, features lots of audience participation—and most importantly, presents.
Strangeloop Theatre’s The Nutcracker Nightmare follows a girl and an array of toy characters in their attempts to save Christmas. See it at Mary’s Attic.
Red Fang performs at Logan Square Auditorium tonight. Luca Cimarusti says the songs on their new LP, Whales and Leeches, are “heavy and catchy as hell, jam-packed with melodic hooks but never crossing the line into pop—you won’t have to feel like a wuss for loving them so much.” Cancer Bats, the Shrine, and Radkey open.
