Looking for something to do today? Agenda‘s got you covered.

Jackalope Theatre Company presents six short plays, all based on recent American newspaper articles, in Ripped: The Living Newspaper Festival. The subjects of the plays tend to be local, so you won’t have to hear more about Flight MH370 or Donald Sterling. It all goes down tonight at Greenhouse Theater Center.

Photographer Christopher Williams offers his criticism of conventional commercial photojournalism in “Production Line of Happiness” at the Art Institute of Chicago.

Festival favorites Queens of the Stone Age play the Aragon Ballroom tonight with Chelsea Wolfe. Of their latest album, Peter Margasak writes, “The band’s music is sharper than ever, with crisp hard rock sitting nicely beside pretty ballads, and though the lyrics are less cynical this time, [Josh] Homme hasn’t gotten mushy.”
