New Lincoln Park venue, same oldie-but-goodie show. Originated by iO veterans David Koechner, Adam McKay, and Armando Diaz, Armando Diaz Theatrical Experience draws inspiration from performer monologues to create a show’s worth of long-form improv.

Tonight at 8:30 PM, the Gene Siskel Film Center screens Trailer Park Boys: Don’t Legalize It, a Canadian stoner comedy about three tripping and road-tripping jokesters navigating the dope business. Missed Saturday’s screening, eh? This may be your last chance to catch the flick on the big screen.

Marvel comics editor Daniel Ketchum, journalist Theopi Skarlatos, and other contributors to the book The Places We’ve Been: Field Reports From Travelers Under 35 join forces in an author panel moderated by WBEZ’s Mariam Sobh. Published last summer, the book is a collection of 48 peer-written, nonfiction stories by professionals traveling the globe.
