Looking for something to do today? Agenda‘s got you covered:
Legendary hardcore label Revelation Records is celebrating its 25th anniversary at the House of Blues with a concert featuring the best of their stable of bands. Gorilla Biscuits, whose 1989 album Start Today is “one of the most accessible hardcore albums of the era” according to Kevin Warwick, headline the festivities, but sets from the likes of By a Thread, Down to Nothing, and Youth of Today round out what’s sure to be a very loud evening.
The College of Complexes hosts a screening of Gary Ross’s 1998 film Pleasantville at the Lincoln Restaurant, followed by “a rebuttal/remarks period, open microphone, five minutes each for anyone in attendance to comment on events in Pleasantville,” according to the CoC’s website.
Comedian Tom Segura, who hosts the podcast Your Mom’s House and has appeared on Conan, Comedy Central, and the Just For Laughs Comedy Festival, performs two shows at the Chicago Improv.
