Looking for something to do today? Agenda‘s got you covered.
An annual all-day house-music party, the Chosen Few Old School Reunion Picnic returns for the 24th year with dance-music queen Jocelyn Brown and the Chosen Few DJs hammering out the deep cuts (and probably at least a shout-out or two to the late Frankie Knuckles). A better reason to get down this summer there is not.
Japanese animation enthusiasts converge on Anime Midwest fully costumed and ready to nerd out. There’s all sorts of stuff happening: a cosplay masquerade ball, a boffer/foam weapons area, autograph sessions, and a maid cafe (if you know what that means, you should probably be there). Check it out at the Hyatt Regency.
Join nature lovers and art enthusiasts for a weekend of artwork inspired by or made with flora at the annual Chicago Botanic Garden Art Festival. To accompany the shopping, there are interactive art demonstrations and booth chats with some of the artists.
