Looking for something to do today? Agenda‘s got you covered:

The Chicago Dancing Festival closes out several days of performances today with a show at Pritzker Pavillion. The Joffrey Ballet, the Chicago Human Rhythm Project, and Alvin Ailey soloist Samuel Lee Roberts perform. Festivities start at 7:30 PM; first-come, first-served seating opens at 6 PM.

If Schoolhouse Rock Live! was “amusing, mildly campy nostalgia” when it debuted 20 years ago, as the Reader‘s Jack Helbig wrote then, think how amusing, campy, and nostalgic it will be tonight at Hamburger Mary’s.

R. Kelly’s popularity among members of the Pitchfork set—you should’ve seen the crowd he drew at this year’s fest—is arguably a direct product of his 33-chapter musical melodrama Trapped in the Closet. It’s poetic. It’s ridiculous. The epic saga gets the Rocky Horror treatment at the Trapped in the Closet Sing-a-long, a multimedia experience replete with subtitles, as well as props like spatulas and condoms.
