Looking for something to do today? Agenda‘s got you covered.

If you didn’t peruse our recent Bar Issue, then maybe you don’t know that distilleries are on the rise in Illinois—and very much so here in Chicago. In fact, since 2009, when Koval Distillery (5121 N. Ravenswood) opened, CH Distillery (564 W. Randolph), Few (918 Chicago, Evanston), and Chicago Distilling Company (2359 N. Milwaukee) have all popped up, and you can visit each one at your leisure and taste what all the hubbub is about.

No Small Plans Productions hosts a viewing party for the season premiere of AMC’s Mad Men tonight at the Logan. Festivities begin with a cocktail party and red carpet photo ops from fashion blogger Tres Awesome. Prizes are awarded for best costume.

Dump, also known as Yo La Tengo’s James McNew, plays at the Hideout tonight as an opener for artist-in-residence Eleventh Dream Day. In Soundboard Peter Margasak calls his latest album “dreamy, lo-fi bedroom pop with generous dollops of blue-eyed soul, classic rock, and murky ambience.” Sidi Toure also opens.
