Looking for something to do today? Agenda‘s got you covered.
No need to look before crossing Milwaukee Avenue today. During Open Streets the three miles of Milwaukee running between Ashland and Kedzie through Logan Square, Bucktown, and Wicker Park will be blocked off to let you frolic, dance, and even soak people in a dunk tank without dodging traffic.
The Edgewater Historical Society offers a glimpse into antique homes in the Edgewater Glen neighborhood through a self-guided tour complete with a souvenir guidebook. Check in at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 1500 W. Elmdale.
Hell in a Handbag Productions revives its send-up of Alfred Hitchcock’s The Birds. According to Reader critic Jack Helbig, “Every aspect of the production deepens it: the early-60s costumes, the simple but evocative set, the low-budget special effects, and, most importantly, the rich performances.”
