Looking for something to do today? Agenda‘s got you covered.
If the name of its benefit is any indication, Links Hall anticipates that winter has come to an end. The nonprofit hosts Thaw, a “hot ballyhoo” that features Dutch-Indonesian cuisine from the Rice Table, drinks from Revolution and Virtue Cider, and a full night of dance, cabaret, and food-inspired performance art.
Leave your work clothes on the floor and morph into the anarchist, mohawked punk-rock god you’ve always wanted to be. Tonight’s edition of Punk Rock Karaoke benefits the 2014 Fed Up Fest, a music festival that highlights LGBTQ punk bands and artists. The playlist features songs from the likes of Choking Victim, the Circle Jerks, Sleater-Kinney, and Against Me! Sing your heart out at Township.
Author, Shame That Tune cohost, Outer Minds drummer, and Reader contributor Brian Costello resurrects his monthly interview and variety show, the Brian Costello Show, at the Empty Bottle tonight after six years off the map. Guests include tongue-in-cheek Boston hardcore legend Tommy Crowbar, Jeanine O’Toole of Bare Mutants, and comedian Nick Rouley. The Coldies and the designated house band the Runnies perform.
