Quuer Contra Dance

Looking for something to do today? Agenda’s got you covered:

After a successful soft launch in December, Fete Chicago, the four-day food and design festival (4/4-4/7) founded by a handful of former Dose Market curators, arrives in full form beginning this evening with the Fete Night Market. Attendees can browse the wares of more than 40 midwest craft vendors (Uncanned Music, Be Blocks, etc) while enjoying pop-up versions of local restaurants, including Ruxbin and Panozzo’s Italian Market.

Columbia College hosts the Citywide Undergraduate Poetry Festival, an intercollegiate poetry slam featuring student readers from colleges from across the city.

St. Luke’s Lutheran Church of Logan Square hosts Queer Contra Dance Chicago. Sometimes described as New England folk dance, contra is similar to square dancing but features lines of dances rather than squares. Beginners are welcome, as are snacks and beverages for a pot luck.
