Looking for something to do today? Agenda‘s got you covered.

Chicagoans invite art-seekers into their homes for a local version of the Home Theater Festival. The city’s most hospitable residents—artists, students, professors, and bureaucrats among them—host performances, film screenings, and other arts events in their kitchens, living rooms, and on their rooftops. Tonight’s artists include MegLouise Dance and Shawn Ketchum Johnson; more information is available here.

One man’s trash is another man’s treasure at tonight’s Found Footage Festival at the Music Box. New York video scavengers Joe Pickett and Nick Prueher present their collection of findings from garage sales, thrift stores, warehouses, and dumpsters from across the country.

Pop and EDM artist M.I.A. plays the Riviera Theatre tonight. In Soundboard Miles Raymer writes, “Her latest album, Matangi (Interscope), is the most focused expression of her aesthetic yet. It’s a clanging, wailing conglomeration of noisy electronics and dance-music styles collected from around the globe, which she somehow manages to channel into big, radio-friendly hooks.”
