Looking for something to do today? Agenda‘s got you covered.

The International Exposition of Contemporary and Modern Art, more commonly known as Expo Chicago, brings together artwork and galleries from around the globe to the Second City. Our Noah Berlatsky highlights the best stuff to see. It all goes down at Navy Pier.

Tonight is your last chance to see Portland doom-metal band Witch Mountain do their thing with current singer Uta Plotkin. “Witch Mountain existed long before Plotkin joined and will continue after she leaves, and I look forward to hearing whatever comes next for both of them. But this particular version of the band had a unique alchemy, and it will be missed,” writes Monica Kendrick in Soundboard. See them open for Nik Turner’s Hawkwind at the Beat Kitchen.

Jena Cutie recommends checking out BalletX, the Philadelphia dance troupe performing at the Dance Center of Columbia College. “BalletX is making ballet new in the most glorious, unambiguous way—by commissioning original work from rising neoclassical and contemporary choreographers,” she writes.
