George Saunders, the MacArthur Genius Grant recipient whose writing has been featured in Harper’s, McSweeney’s, and GQ, stops by Lincoln Hall to read from his latest collection of short stories, The Tenth of December. Saunders also participates in an audience Q and A hosted by local writer, Adam Levin.
The DO312 Film Series hosts a double feature of 80s nostalgia at the Cobra Lounge with the George Lucas-produced Howard the Duck and Rod Amateau’s The Garbage Pail Kids Movie, the latter of which is sometimes cited as the worst movie ever made.
The Kit Kat Lounge & Supper Club hosts a watch party for RuPaul’s Drag Race, in which the the best episodes from the reality show are projected on seven screens. Jade, a past contestant on the show and Kit Kat Lounge’s “house diva,” is slated to make “special appearances.”
