Looking for something to do today? Agenda‘s got you covered.
Johann Strauss’s comic operetta Die Fledermaus concerns a man who tries to seduce his own wife at a masquerade ball; it may be less racy than the French play it was adapted from, but, writes the Reader‘s Deanna Isaacs, the “ebullient melodies are irresistible.” It opens its December run tonight at the Civic Opera House.
At the Double Door, Kellye Howard headlines “What’s Behind Door Number 3?,” a night of stand-up comedy with special guests Rob Wilson and Jamie Campbell of the Whiskey Journal.
Postpunk band TV Ghost performs at Schubas. “The amount of evolution that the band has undergone over the past six years is astounding,” writes Luca Cimarusti in Soundboard.
