- Rush Hour Concerts
Looking for something to do today? Agenda‘s got you covered:
Catch the last Rush Hour Concert of the summer at St. James Cathedral today, where the Spektral Quartet performs a concerto by Ernest Chausson at 5:45 PM. The quartet recently finished a year as ensemble in residence at the University of Chicago.
The clock is also ticking on the Chicago Printmakers Collaborative’s summer exhibition Soundcheck, a gallery of work by printmakers who double as musicians. Artists pair print portfolios with a CD of their own music. It closes this Saturday.
This isn’t the last week for the West Town Pup Crawl, a bar crawl for dog owners and their pets that kicks off at Mahoney’s Pub & Grille—but it is the second-to-last. Each week, a different dog from a local shelter is brought along to raise awareness for the shelters.
