Soup and Bread
  • Soup and Bread

Do you need to wind down after your first day back at work? Or perhaps you’re still off and looking for something to do tonight? Have no fear—a href=”/chicago/Agenda”>Agenda’s got you covered:

Today marks the fifth anniversary of Soup and Bread, the weekly dinner party at the Hideout. For this year’s inaugural event, Swim Cafe, Milk & Honey Cafe, La Sirena Clandestina, Wendy Miller, and Martha Bayne—the mastermind behind Soup and Bread—will be the chefs. Publican Quality Meats is providing the bread.

Prolific noise musician Dominick Fernow plays under his Vatican Shadow moniker tonight at the Burlington. Hieroglyphic Being opens, and the showcase features a DJ set by Kevin Drumm. Judging by the music on Drumm’s seismic Sheer Hellish Miasma, who knows what he’ll play.

Do you like puppets? Do you like invective? You can find both at Felt at iO, where “this improvised puppet show by the Atticus Finch ensemble suggests bitter, rejected prototypes of Elmo, Chewbacca, McGruff the Crime Dog, and Crank Yankers/Muppets characters ganging up in a dark alley off Sesame Street,” according to Ryan Hubbard.
