HBO’s Girls is the focus of this special edition of Columbia College’s Cinema Slapdown. The Huffington Post’s Maureen Ryan, a Girls lover, and TV department chair Michael Niederman, a Girls hater, duke it out at Film Row Cinema tonight.

Hamburg-based trumpeter Birgit Ulher and Chicago sound artist Eric Leonardson perform their first area concert together since 2007 at the University of Chicago’s Bond Chapel.
