Looking for something to do today? Agenda‘s got you covered.
After a 16-year hiatus, indie-rock band Mazzy Star comes to the Vic tonight to promote their new album, Seasons of Your Day. Kevin Warwick says, “The new record stays loyal to what Mazzy Star was—though Sandoval’s voice is a bit sultrier, even bluesy at times, it remains as delicate and airy as ever.”
At the Art of Songwriting, Jim DeRogatis and Greg Kot of WBEZ’s Sound Opinions will focus on hip-hop in a Q&A with local MCs Probcause (who will also be performing) and Tree. It’s tonight at 7 PM at Northwestern’s Annie May Swift Hall.
Detroit ’67, a Motown-tinged play that follows two Detroit siblings who are running an after-hours club in their late parents’ basement, will be performed twice today (afternoon and evening) at North Shore Center for the Performing Arts.
