In what must be a dream come true for classic comedy lovers, Monty Python is back in action tonight. Original cast members from the TV show and movies John Cleese, Terry Gilliam, Eric Idle, Terry Jones, and Michael Palin will perform the crew’s most famous sketches in London’s O2 Arena, a live show that will be broadcast worldwide. You can check it out at the Music Box.

The best stories are always the real ones, as demonstrated in the documentary Melvin & Jean: An American Story. The film relives Melvin and Jean McNair’s 1972 hijacking of a flight from Detroit to Algeria as part of a demonstration for the Black Liberation Army. “The talking heads—among them the couple’s relatives in North Carolina and one of the pilots of the hijacked plane—are lively and surprisingly candid; this often plays like a spirited reunion,” writes Ben Sachs.

It’s closing night for Hideous Love Mutants, ending a near two month run at Annoyance Theatre. The comedy evaluates the pros and cons of married life—mostly the cons—and features plenty of cross-dressing and laughs.
