Pet peeve: Why do people still call it a “leak” when bands do it themselves, on purpose? I know it’s spitting into the wind, but sometimes I feel like I ought to be pushing back a little harder against this sort of debasement of the currency of language.
At any rate, there’s a new Red Sparowes track, “We Left the Apes to Rot, but Find the Fang Still Grows Within,” available for streaming at their MySpace page. (At least they’re not calling it a leak.) A teaser from their forthcoming EP, Aphorisms, it’s also a bit of a bonbon (of the pull-your-teeth-out-with-caramel variety) to get folks’ mouths watering for the Sparowes’ gig at the Wicker Park fest at the end of the month.
