Legendary Chicago DJ Richard Pegue died in March 2009 at the age of 64, but his legacy seems to have only grown in the years since. One of his most popular events, the Dusty Record Convention—actually a steppers’ ball, not an event where records are sold—has carried on since his death, and this Saturday there’s one at St. Elizabeth Church at 41st and Michigan. According to the promoter, admission is “still $20.00 at the door only—no advance tickets—BYOB—no smoking.” Doors open at 7 PM and music begins at 8.
