On Friday evening designer Annie Novotny’s Pilsen boutique and atelier Workshop (818 W. 18th) will be open til 10 PM for a holiday party and deals including up to 40 percent off of fall and winter clothing from her line, Frei Designs.

On Saturday, Leslie Hindman Auctioneers (1338 W. Lake) begins a preview of items that are part of a Vintage Couture and Accessories auction next week. Up for bidding: clothing by Bill Blass, scarves and other accessories from Hermes, Christian Dior jewelry, and more. Previews Saturday 10 AM-3 PM, Sunday noon-5 PM, Monday 10 AM-6 PM, Tuesday 10 AM-5 PM, and Wednesday 10 AM-6 PM, and the auction begins next Thursday at 10 AM.

Lissa celebrates its new River North location (750 N. Franklin) with a trunk show featuring Chicago designer Abigail Glaum-Lathbury on Saturday from 5 to 8 PM.

Also on Saturday, Serpico, the boutique of local designer Melissa Serpico Kamhout, is holding a closing sale at which everything is $50 or $75. It’s from noon to 4 PM at 1415 N. Ashland.
